Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R Motorcycle Review

Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R Motorcycle Review
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Magesh_Kumar]Magesh Kumar

There is nothing like a Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R. Riding position, styling, performance, handling, reputation no other two-wheeler gives the same overwhelming sensation of endless, immeasurable, gushing speed.

And Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R's engine that stands proud: a monumental engineering gem that seamlessly blends manners and usability with enough ludicrous, undiluted performance to scramble your brain by halfway through the six clean-shifting gears. Third does everything: from mindless dawdling round town at 30mph, eyeing up yummy mummies to indicating 60mph at the test track and smearing the landscape into a three-year-old's painting. Pointless? Definitely. But fantastically life-affirming a neat shot of the gloriously outrageous in our cotton wool world.

There's such a deluge of drive even the ZZR feels lacking and the BMW peaky and harsh next to Suzuki's transcendent long-stroke might. Power-to-weight wise it's behind a GSX-R1000 or Fireblade but with vast torque anywhere in the rev range nothing gets near its fluid, instant clout. For most of us it brings a new meaning to effortless power. For those with Bruce's feel and balance, it means 100 yard black lines out of every corner. And a new tyre within 1000 miles.

In their munificence, Suzuki have included a three-way switch on the right handlebar: mode A gives full power and response, with B and C incrementally reducing both reaction and output. Clever, and I get the theory behind capping the stupendous torque in tricky conditions. But in C-mode on a chilly, wet morning I just end up using bigger throttle openings to get the drive I want. The engine's so civilised I'm happier in full-fat A-mode, where it delivers exactly what I expect.

Even the riding position is a subtle reminder of Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R befuddling speed. You don't sit on a Hayabusa but drape yourself over it, bum near the ground, feet tucked up out of the way with torso stretched low to the broad bars. With the view over the low screen and enveloping fairing, there's no mistaking the potential.

It's not the best stance for control, though. Both ZZR and BMW sit you higher, with narrower bars that are easier to push and tug. They feel sportier, more modern. Both feel lighter than the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R as well, the Kawasaki particularly being more nimble at low speed. The 1400 has a better chassis for our wriggling B-road route, too, remaining level and unruffled over imperfections and fast sections that make the Busa squat and squirm. It never seems like it'll flick you into the scenery but the others give an easier time.

Open A-roads are friendlier terrain. The Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R floats with graceful violence; better damped than the Kawasaki and shaking off the BMW with the lightest touch. It's point-and-squirt king. Motorways are equally stress free, with only a low screen to moan about. Gadget nerds might grumble at the lack of trip gizmos on the superb clocks, but there's a fuel gauge and you don't really miss the additional info.

But such peripheral details don't matter. It's a Hayabusa. It doesn't handle as lightly as the ZZR, doesn't have the handy gizmos of the BMW, and is wasted at legal speeds. Instead, it's the fastest, the one that leaves you gibbering after each encounter the bike with the clearest mission statement. Want the most? Buy the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R.

Women and Motorcycles Are Such a Sight to Behold

Women and Motorcycles Are Such a Sight to Behold
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jenny_Carson]Jenny Carson

Things have changed nowadays and gender equality has been practiced even in extreme sports as motorcycle riding. In the past, the sport has been thought to be exclusively for men. All the gear associated with motorcycle riding has also been designed for male use. Now, everything has changed because ladies have taken an interest in the sport too. Apparel manufacturers have come to realize this fact and have catered to ladies needs by providing several options for their motorcycle riding fashion style.

Today, it is very easy to see stores online and offline who are selling women's motorcycle gear. These gears come in all sizes, shapes, and styles that make it fun for shopping. Great motorcycle names such as Harley Davidson also makes these gears more accessible to brand conscious women by introducing their own women's Harley Davidson boots line. They even have their own jacket, gloves, and trousers collection which will complement their boots.

Motorcycle jackets for women have seen a big change over the years. Black has been a biker's color but nowadays, almost any color is possible to wear on a motorcycle. Women of today are no longer limited to the basic black; in fact, jackets are one way of making your personality stand out from the rest. Bright colored jackets are very eye-catching and are perfect gifts to give.

Women off a motorcycle are sexy enough, what more when they are on one. What makes women sexier on the motorcycle is the boots that she is wearing. Sexiness can be personified in the boots that one is wearing. Boots from the women's Harley Davidson boots collection exemplify the sexiness of a woman by creating several styles which has various details like buckles, straps, heels, and fringes. These boots may come in black but they still give a woman the sexy edge.

To completely match the woman's motorcycle apparel, a handsome looking pair of gloves is necessary for an accent. The choice is up to you whether or not you want your gloves to complement your jacket or you want it to be the focal point of your entire outfit. Usually, gloves are sold together with jackets. But if you want an entirely different glove collection you can use, then feel free to mix and match your gloves. Just make sure though that the gloves are really intended for women.

Lastly, the helmet may be a piece of protective device but it is also something that shows the world your personality. Having a beautiful helmet brings the point down especially when you cruise down the road. You can even have it personalized by having it airbrushed. The only thing that will limit you when you have your helmet personalized is your imagination as almost all styles and designs can be made.

It is a good thing that these items are already available for women because motorcycles and women really look great together. There is something sexy about a woman on a motorcycle and it is even made sexier by accessorizing with these protective gears.

Women's Motorcycle Jackets Vs Men's Motorcycle Jackets

Women's Motorcycle Jackets Vs Men's Motorcycle Jackets
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dona_Rosa]Dona Rosa

The very phrase 'women's motorcycle jacket' may conjure up visions of tough looking women on huge motorcycles looking for a fight. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Today, the sight of a woman on a motorcycle is not a big deal. Now, if you are going to ride a motorcycle, you might as well wear a stylish looking women's motorcycle jacket.

Since motorcycle jackets, particularly leather jackets, are always associated with the macho male specimen of our species, some may feel that while motorcycle and women may mix, motorcycle jackets and women certainly do not mix.

However, you can find a whole range of jackets that are available for women motorcycle riders, as all the jackets are not focused on the tough female. For example, we can find many jackets that enhance the feminine appeal of the woman on the motorcycle.

The points to be considered when purchasing a motorcycle jacket for women are not very different as compared to purchasing a jacket for a male motorcycle rider. COnsdier these points:

1) The basic purpose for which the jacket is designed remains the same. However, there are some fine differences, which result from the inherent differences between men and women.

2) Generally, women are more compactly built as compared to men. Hence, one must pay special attention to the comfort levels while buying a jacket for women like a snug fit.

3) Further, the concept of style for men is different as compared to the concept of style for women. On the whole, women prefer to make a subtle and understated style statement when it comes to motorcycle jackets.

4) On the other hand, men prefer to make a loud, aggressive and macho statement about their style quotient.

This is most evident from the fact that there is a lot of differences in colors, patterns etc between men's jackets and women's jackets. You would very rarely find a red or a bottle green motorcycle jacket for men while such colors are very commonly found in the jackets for women.

5) Further, men prefer jackets with a lot of metal even though it unnecessarily enhances the weight of the jacket. On the other hand, very few women opt to make such a loud style statements through their jackets.

6) On the whole, one can find a variety of jackets available for women. Some are sporty, some are stylish and some are adorned with frills, while some give an overall cowboy or rather cowgirl look.

Of course, exceptions do exist. And some men prefer to be subtle and some women prefer to be loud and over the top.

However, generally, the choice of men and women in respect of style of the jackets differs and this must be kept in mind when you are buying the apparel.

As far as the safety aspect is concerned, there is very little difference between motorcycle jackets for the two sexes. It can hardly be said that women ride any slower than men. Speeding and reckless driving is a universal phenomenon.

Getting to Know Different Motorcycle Luggage That You Can Use For Riding Bikes

Getting to Know Different Motorcycle Luggage That You Can Use For Riding Bikes
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jenny_Carson]Jenny Carson

Not many people find it convenient to drive a motorcycle especially when you are the type who brings many things when traveling. It is quite understandable because not all riders are well equipped with the different things that they can do with their motorcycles in order to increase their functionality. This distinguishes them from long time and experienced riders because they know exactly what they need in order to travel well with this vehicle.

If you are new to traveling with bikes but you know you have the skills to ride it, then this is the time that you should be acquainted on how you can keep your stuff organized and stable while you travel. Remember, you will not have big spaces where you can put your suitcases. Rather in traveling, you will be having great add-ons that you can install on your bikes. They are needed because they are your only options in order to attach your stuff on the vehicle without causing any problems while you ride the bike. They also come in various sizes and shapes, as well as different locations on where they will be attached.

You probably are wondering right now what they are. So much for being quizzical; if you really want to travel with so much stuff with you then get to know the different motorcycle luggage that you can bring by checking it out below:

Knapsack or Rucksack

This is not new to you, right? The ones that you bring to school everyday can be very convenient for long range driving with a bike. You can put wear them on your shoulders. If you do so, just make sure that they have the right tightness and proper placement on your back. Other riders bring hike bags but instead of putting them on the shoulders, they are usually tied on the pillion seat.

Tank Bags

The word itself describes where it will be placed. They are securely tied around the tank. They are smart solutions to ensure that fragile stuff you have will be still be in good condition after you travel. You can also keep an eye on them because it will be situated right in front of you.

Saddlebags

Motorcycle Sidecars - Making Your Motorcycle a More Convenient Mode of Transportation

Motorcycle Sidecars - Making Your Motorcycle a More Convenient Mode of Transportation
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ilse_Hagen]Ilse Hagen

A lot of people prefer motorcycles as their main mode of transportation because of the convenience in size, ease of maintenance, and the fact that it is relatively cheaper than owning a car. Furthermore, owners need not worry about getting stuck in traffic all the time because they can just squeeze their way through small passageways-something that even the smallest car could not do. But what happens when you have to use your motorcycle to transport your friends or your family? How can you let at least 2 adults sit behind you without worrying about falling or toppling over?

Additional seats

Don't worry because there are such things as motorcycle sidecars that you can attach to your motorcycle's side to turn it into a tricycle. The motorcycle sidecar is a vehicle with one wheel and, when attached to your motorcycle, it allows more room for passengers to ride with you. Aside from that, you can also use it to transport cargo. Some sidecars also have a rear trunk where you can put your things. A rooftop, windshield, and door can also be included with the sidecar.

Choose your sidecar

Motorcycle sidecars come in fiberglass and steel varieties. Both have great loading capacities and attach to a motorcycle with 4 bolts. For something durable and strong, steel is a good choice. You can also use it when you have to pass through rough terrains or be subjected to the toughest riding conditions. Steel sidecars also have a big loading capacity and you can match their styles and colors with your motorcycle. They can also come with a locking trunk, rubber floor mat, windshield, and a luggage rack.

On the other hand is the fiberglass sidecar which is also durable but more stylish. It can also accommodate varying loads and comes with an external gas tank, locking trunk, crumble zone, and a windshield. Fiberglass motorcycle sidecars are also equipped with safety features including a lockable door and a seatbelt, making them ideal for taking passengers for a ride.

How to Sponsor a Poker Run

How to Sponsor a Poker Run
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Woody_Longacre]Woody Longacre

My first motorcycle was a 1943 Flat Head Harley Davidson. When I found the bike for sale I had no money, but I knew I wanted this dream machine. I wasn't making enough money to pay for it so I needed a plan. I came up with a way to raise money and throw a great party at the same time. I organized a Poker Run. I made enough money to buy the Harley, had a few bucks left over and had allot of fun along the way.

The Poker Run was originally an event bikers played out on their Harley, but over the years it has been borrowed by Boaters, Runners, Bicyclist and I'm sure by others as well. The concept of a Poker Run is to travel a course or route and while doing so pick up poker cards along the way. Each person makes a 5 card poker hand from the cards they collect with the best hand winning money or prize. The way this is carried out for bikers is, each biker travels the planed route, every few miles there is a checkpoint at which each biker must stop and pickup a poker card. There are 7 checkpoints with the 7th checkpoint being at the final destination. Once all riders have reached the end, the rider with the best 5 card poker hand wins a grand prize. There can be variations to the prize scheme but the idea is to award cash or merchandise prizes at the end.

Sponsoring a poker run is fairly simple but takes time and some not so hard work. The first thing you need to do is plan the travel route and positioning of the check points. The route should be laid out so that the last check point is at the final destination. This is where the Poker Run party will be held. In order to do this you may need to get approval from the cities you plan to travel your poker run through, there may be some paperwork and fees for this. Always check with the city municipalities to ensure compliance with local laws.

At the end of the run is a park or event facility, somewhere where a biker crowd can hang their hat for a few hours. Depending on where you live you may need a permit (especially if alcohol will be served) for the park. Of course you will need permission for any kind of event hall or facility you plan to use.

Next you need to do a little financial planning. By figuring out how much you will use for prize money and how much the party after the Poker Run will cost, you can calculate how many riders you'll need and what the entrance fee will be. Keep in mind entrance fees should be less then $100 per bike, charge too much and the turn out will be poor. A word of caution here, be sure you do a good job of knowing the total cost of the event. Poor math can quickly turn a profit into a loss.

The next thing you will need to do is register riders. The best way to do this is to make a website where registration can be made and money can be collected. This of course may be more than you want to do so the old fashion method of mail-in or phone-in registration will work just as well. Along with registering riders for your poker run, you should also sell tickets to friends and others that just may simply want to attend the party after the ride is over. A scheme where a certain cost for the bike and it's rider and another much lower cost for a passenger is a good approach.

To advertise, leave flyers and posters at biker bars, biker events and motorcycle shops in your area. If you are looking for a big crowd, run an ad on a local Radio Station, this will cost you some up front money but you can get the message to allot of people. Also if you're into the internet thing, you can run a Banner Ad advertisement on relevant websites. Keep in mind your marketing efforts should be localized, most bikers are only looking for a day event and will not travel far for a poker run.

Finally, careful planning of the party can be made once you have a good idea of the number of participants. If your party is small you can either buy your own food and enlist your friends and associates to help, or you can hire local catering services to handle it all. Some thought should be given to the kind of activities you may want to have during the party as well. Oh and make sure you plan to have a prize award ceremony that charms the crowd. Don't be cheap here, bikers won't let you get away with that! If beer is being served and or provided, special care and planning should be taken to preserve life and limb.

Now if all is planned and carried out correctly you can expect to cover costs, ensure everyone has a good time and make a little extra to help buy that next Harley. Best of luck and have fun!

Owning Your Own Custom Harley Davidson

Owning Your Own Custom Harley Davidson
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kevin_Rockwell]Kevin Rockwell

You watched them roar by as a kid. You felt the urge as an adult. Then you made the choice to buy a Harley of your own. Now each and every Harley-Davidson rider wants to have a unique Harley that is distinct to any of the existing Harley in the world. This creates more pride and excitement to the owner. This is why a customized Harley-Davidson is the second factory of either a brand new or pre-owned Harleys. My first impression of a custom Harley was when I was ten. My dad's friend had a custom blue Electra Glide that had every possible accessory you could get on it. That thing was amazing. Too bad he would not give me a ride on it. But I got my motorcycle "Jones" later in my teens when I could buy my own.

So what is a customized Harley-Davidson?

Have you ever been to the big auto shows like the LA Auto Show or the Detroit Auto Show? Have you seen those custom made vehicles that are truly one of their kinds? Have you seen those one of a kind vehicles that shine like crazy and amaze the eye with their lines and details?

Well along those lines a customized Harley-Davidson motorcycle is a motorcycle that has been modified and fabricated to become the one and only of a particular look or theme. A customized Harley-Davidson motorcycle shows the world an insight into the owner's personal impression and the artistic expression in their motorcycle ride.

Why is owning a customized Harley-Davidson so hot these days?

No matter where you go in the world, a Harley-Davidson is a head turner. That only gets magnified if the ride is customized and modified to the nth degree as a customized Harley-Davidson. How much attraction could it get if the Harley has been modified with all the latest custom accessories available?

Unless you are on a tight budget it only makes sense to create a unique ride with your Harley-Davidson motorcycle that would signify your inner creativity, customization is the only resort. Thus, when a customized Harley hits a show or the road, no one can resist its power to turn heads. Customized Harley-Davidson's are hot because of these simple facts.
So where do you go to get custom Harley-Davidson services?

There several great sites out on the internet such as Cyril Huze, where you can get just the most amazing and eye popping add-ons for your Harley. You really have to see what he can do for your ride. Another spot on the net is Hog Painter. At Hog Painter you will find Tom who has over 24 years of custom painting experience and can transform your Harley motorcycle into a work of art. They will convert your Harley-Davidson into a more exciting machine to ride. They will make your Harley-Davidson the best one in town.

So search out and find the customization that your Harley deserves and make it into a ride worth turning heads every time you ride down the street in your town.

Do you love Harley-Davidson motorcycles? Then come on over and see them in video action. Share your love of Harleys and see our videos. Hot Harley Videos
